about me
I was born in Monticello Indiana several hours south of Chicago. I started painting and drawing from an early age. My parents saw that I had talent and provided me with private lessons in drawing, watercolor, oils and pen and ink.

My earlier works were still-lives and abstractions influences by Paul Cezanne and French Impressionistic Artist. I love the bright and pastel colors they used. In my college years at Indiana University I continued to take art classes but graduate with business management.

For 15 years I have used my artistic abilities to develop a home accessory business in which I created over 50 finishes along with new product which included lamps, mirrors, statuary and wall art. The product line included over 1000 items.

I love to paint every chance I get. It's great getting my hands dirty, mixing paint I love to work in oils and acrylics and gesso for texture. Most of my paintings I let my sub conscience decide were the color and texture goes. It’s like meditating and letting myself go with the flow. I love to use texture and lots of color. Color is very important to me. I always use lots of color no matter what my composition is. I also find metallic polychrome colors wonderful to work with. I love to combine unusual combinations of colors and colors together for more interesting effects.
